Meet your Midwife

Midwife Nadia

Nadia is the CEO and founder of Crown of Glory Birth Services and a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and Licensed Midwife (LM) serving families across Alabama and the Southeast. She provides comprehensive home birth midwifery care, prenatal care, postpartum care, newborn exams, women’s wellness services, childbirth education, and doula mentorship. Nadia is honored to be among the first Black Certified Professional Midwives serving Alabama since the 1980s, continuing the historic legacy of traditional Black midwifery.

Nadia began her career in birth work in 2017 as a professional birth doula, childbirth educator, placenta encapsulation specialist, and doula business trainer. After attending hundreds of births while training as a home birth midwife, she developed a reputation for providing culturally congruent, personalized, and relationship-centered maternity care for families seeking natural, holistic, and faith-based birth support.

As an Alabama home birth midwife, Nadia specializes in serving low-risk families who desire safe, evidence-informed care in the comfort of their own home. Her practice supports families throughout pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn wellness. She is especially passionate about improving maternal health outcomes for Black women and reducing racial disparities in maternal and infant health.

Nadia’s approach to midwifery blends clinical excellence, traditional birth wisdom, and Spirit-led care. She believes midwifery plays a critical role in empowering families, strengthening communities, and preserving its legacy across the United States. Through Crown of Glory Birth Services, she is committed to expanding access to safe home birth options in Alabama and throughout the Southeast.

In addition to her midwifery credentials, Nadia is a licensed minister (2018), allowing her to provide spiritually grounded support to families who desire faith-centered maternity care. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Resources Management from Faulkner University and studied Psychology at Alabama A&M University.

Nadia is also a devoted wife and mother. She is the proud mother of an 18-year-old son, two angel babies who continue to shape her calling, and a joyful 9-month-old daughter who deepens her passion for birth work every day.

Families seeking a licensed midwife in Alabama, home birth services, holistic prenatal care, or postpartum support often choose Crown of Glory Birth Services for its compassionate, culturally respectful, and individualized care model.
